Secara kebetulan aku dpt tahu Zee Avi aka koko kaina dijemput mengisi slot flyfm campur chart di LaundryBar pada 5 Feb. Dan betapa gembiranya aku sebab Grey Sky Morning juga dijemput dan of course, Nitrus.
Aku double confirm line up pasal tk mahu pisang bebuah dua kali sewaktu aku terburu2 mengejar acara HMI kerana menyangka Bunkface dijemput. Tetapi sesampai di RTM, rupanya acara HMI tu diisi oleh One Buck Short, Pesawat dan Nitrus.Bukan Bunkface!( Kesilapan mata membaca teleprompter yang berlari di skrin RTM2, sehari sebelum kami ke RTM. (aku malas nak blog pasal show RTM, tk best sebab takda gambar utk dikongsikan).
Anyway kami sampai di Laundry sebelum show bermula. Nasib baik ada seat kosong so sgtlah selesa utk melayan show malam ni. Pengunjung macam biasa mix. Urban crowd dari pelbagai warna kulit dan umur dan juga orang-orang biasa macam aku.
Grey Sky Morning membuka tirai FlyFm campur chart dengan 5 ahli ahli kugiran. Aku belum kenal dekat lagi dengan band ini. Tapi yang aku tahu dieorg memang best, fresh dan unik. Selalunya aku hanya dengar lagu 'Cinta Gila', 'Bila-bila Kita Berdansa','Pancaroba','Ego'. Semalam dieorg perform lagu baru iaitu 'Dewi'. Seperti biasa lirik dan lagu-lagu dieorg sempoi,mampat dan segar. So far, dari apa yang aku dengar.tak ada yang tak sedap. Aku enjoy sakan. Puas hati lah!
Grey Sky Morning pastinya akan makin maju tahun ini. Sebaris dengan band-band lain.Dieorg ada apa yang kebanyakan band band lain tak ada,walaupun masih banyak ruang utk dieorg perbaiki. Tapi kalau dieorg sepakat, tahu bawa diri dan bercampur gaul. Sure lebih banyak lubang dan ruang akan diberi pada dieorg utk mengasah bakat dan potensi yang ada.
Siapa tahu, berdasarkan kualiti dan keunikan melodi mereka,Grey Sky Morning juga mampu merebut trofi Juara Lagu pada masa akan datang :)

Fresh from LA. Zee Avi look stunningly cute and of course prettier. Maybe she just got hair treatment or something cause she look glowing and her long dark hair looks shiny and healthy.
This is my second Zee Avi's live performance. She strum few songs off her new upcoming international album which, the recording has been succesfully completed. She was accompanied by two hunky sessionist which caught some of the ladies (i guess?) drooling over them. Unfortunately, there are there to make Zee sound beautiful thus they are not so flirtatious with the chirpy female audience.I forgot their names. But hope you enjoy their photos. :)
Among other songs that i remember she performed was 'honeybee','poppy', and 'monte'. Then she perform a duet song with her special guest. I wish she performed 'i am me once more' but she didnt. But its ok. Oh she also perform this new song, which i cant remember the title, with some sarawakian melody. It was a great song i guess. At least she include in some local touches to her songs in her international debut.
I knew it was going to be her last set when she picked up her ukelele. :( for the last song she performed local crowd favourite 'kantoi' with happy clappy support from the happy smiley audience.
Some people didnt recognize who she is, cause truth is, so far, Zee is unknown to local crowds here. But some people aware of her success and she has her own crowds following her wherever she invited to any local show. Last night, a group of fans stood up a banner saying "we miss you" showing how much we, her fans has missed her since her trip to LA to record her album with Brushfire records.
But anyway,i believe all the waiting will be worth it. She will leave for the states again next month to fill up the schedules, securing better and bigger things, making all her fans across the world, proud!
Sejurus Zee Avi menamatkan persembahan istimewanya, pentas flyfm diisi dengan acara suaikenal bersama pengunjung yang sporting untuk mengisi slot rehat pada malam itu.
Nitrus, menutup tirai pentas dengan persembahan lagu baru mereka. Layan juga dengan persembahan mereka terutamanya lagu2 mereka macam 'cinta', 'sisa', 'bintang-bintang', 'hujung dunia', 'tunggu esok'.
Bagi aku dieorg ni lenkap serba serbi, cuma perlu berusaha lebih gigih untuk lebih menonjolkan bakat mereka supaya lebih mainstream.
