'Ghostbird' a new album from Zee Avi, flying to you soon!

Zee Avi has finally announces the birth of her sophomore album entitled 'Ghostbird'. Named after her keen fascination for owls, the creature and any related motive related to it. Little info were disclose on the details about the follow up album, but i believe the album shall have the usual touches and continuation of zee avi styling.The songs and lyrics off the album were taken inspiration from her self reflecting and contemplation,and most of the songs were written underneath the sun and open skies when she spent her time in the sunny state of Florida. get it?

For this album, Mario Caldato Jr,who has worked previously with The Beastie Boys,Zach De La Rocha(Rage against the machine) and Flobots collaborate with her as the record producer.


The things that i like about Zee Avi, she seems to doesnt really bothers or focus too much in getting attention from the mainstream. As similar to the rest of her peers under Brushfire Records, their outings(songs) usually were born to satisfy their creative artistry.

Hence their materials usually sound modest, alive with their own soul, which were release out in the open, to be like or hate. No matter what the reception(from the public) is, all that matters,everything were within their control with less pressure or high expectation.
Zee Avi, 'Ghostbird' will fly to your nearest music store shelves and legally up for digital downloads beginning August 23rd ^_^
